Because I've got a massive one sided crush going on here but I don't want you to feel like I'm going to push it.

[He shifted, pulling his legs up to his chest.]

Who said anything about one-sided?

[He was angry about Lance getting hurt for a reason. He just never said what that reason was.]

.....wait, what?

[His eyes go wide. Keith can't possibly be implying....could he?]

LOL! Lance has the best faces.

I didn't want to say anything because of everything else...

But, if you're okay with it...

[He trailed off, almost shy.]

Okay with it?

[He goes over, sliding down to the floor next to Keith.]

Keith, if you actually...man. Please tell me I'm not misreading this all. You have feelings for me too? Like...past friendship?

[tempredmental]

I think so?

[He flinched. That sounded terrible.]

I mean, I don't know. [Nope. That sounded just as bad.]

It's like... [And he sort of just let the words fall out this time because he had no idea how to describe this.] I've never been in this situation before, or felt like this before, or any of it.

Kinda crazy, right?

[And now he felt awkward because surely Lance was better at this than him.]

No. I mean, I'm not surprised, I guess. You'be always been kind of emotionally awkward, so...

[Honestly? He's not great at this himself past the flirting.]

Do you want to give this a try? Us?

[Side-eyeing so much right there... thanks, Lance. That vote of confidence was so helpful.

He chewed his lip for a moment.]

I guess? What do we do next?

[the_tailor]

Um. Uh. Could I...if it's okay, uh, could I...kiss you?

[It's mumbled, and his face is red.]

[tempredmental]

W-what?

[Keith might be blushing back.]

I guess so?

[the_tailor]

[Lance leans in, then, pressing their lips softly together. It's something he's thought about far too many times, and he smiles into the kiss.]

[tempredmental]

[Keith froze up for a moment. Okay. He had to do something back, right? He could feel the heat in his face as he closed his eyes and just leaned into the kiss. That felt right.]

[the_tailor]

[He doesn't push it. It's fine if Keith doesn't return it fully, as long as he doesn't shove him away. Lance has figured that much. Trying to woo Keith wasn't going to be an easy thing, he's known that.

But he'll still kiss him softly, a hand moving to cup his cheek lightly.

Lance will still try his best. Get Keith to understand how much he really does adore him, let him know that he's open for whatever. And he'll wait.]

[tempredmental]

[When they did finally pull away, Keith almost seemed nervous. Had he done that right? What if he'd been wrong? Was that going to mess everything up?]

...

Well...?

[He was overthinking again.]

Well.

[That confident aura that Lance always tries to put up? Yeah. There's none of that right now. He looks almost as awkward as Keith, afraid that he screwed up himself, not wanting Keith to suddenly change his mind about him.]

I liked that.

[tempredmental]

You don't seem very sure.

[Keith's normally cocky attitude was completely missing, too. Piloting, fighting, that he could handle. This was completely new territory. Lance's uncertainty was just feeding his own, making him feel even more self-conscious.]

[the_tailor]

I am! I'm just...afraid you didn't. I mean--okay, I think I'm a totally great kisser, but I don't wanna push you into anything you don't want so you haven't seen anything yet.

[He has a tendency to babble, too.]

I did like that, Keith. It's something I want to do a lot more if you'd let me.

[tempredmental]

[Keith was content to let Lance babble. He could babble enough for the two of them, so he didn't say anything to interrupt until he was sure Lance was finished rattling off whatever.

But, the reassurances didn't go unnoticed, and Keith looked a little relieved by them. He nodded.]

I liked it.

[He could easily get used to this idea.]

[Phew. He feels a lot more relieved at that, and grins at him now.

Lance still can't believe it. He's kissed Keith Kogane and everything is fine.

Unable to stop himself, he leans in for another.]

[There was a moment of hesitation as Keith figured out what was going on, and then, almost in a determined way, he leaned back in and met Lance halfway. It was a lot firmer this time.]

[His confidence is ramped up when Keith meets him, and Lance slings an arm around the red paladin's shoulder in order to pull him in closer as they kiss. Even if they aren't pressed up against each other, he can still feel the warmth radiating off of Keith's body, and it's something he finds comfort in.]

[That was encouraging.

He kept most of his weight on one hand, as they were still sitting on the floor, and he didn't want to fall on top of Lance and potentially make any remaining injuries worse, but carefully looped his free hand around Lance's waist, completing the circuit in a way.

He felt a little better about this, as the response had been positive so far, but that didn't mean he wanted to push too hard, or, for that matter, reinjure his...

Well, what were they now? His brain got in the way of the moment again, and he pulled back.]

Does this mean we're... boyfriends now?

[the_tailor]

[The word brings another bright smile to Lance's face. Boyfriends. He could look at Keith now and think, hey, that dork mullethead is my boyfriend.]

If you're okay with that, I'd really, really like that.

[tempredmental]

[There was nothing wrong with his hair, Lance!

But the smile was contagious, and Keith smiled back. Not as big as Lance, but Lance was the more expressive one... and Keith was definitely still blushing a little.]

Yeah. Yeah, I'm okay with it.

[He also hadn't removed his arm from around Lance's waist, but it didn't really feel awkward, so he saw no reason to.]
